probably because there is an air bubble in your coolant. There's a thread in the archive detailing how to fill your coolant without air bubbles.

LOW COOLANT sensor has a broken wire.
You didn't get rid of ALL the air in the cooling system.
There's a leak in the cooling system.
...or all of the above.

there are two connectors fro this sensor. ontop of the radiator, and later on down the wire. the one ontop of the radiator you can twist around, and the one later on you can unplug.. doing this multiple times will clean the contacts and will stop it from bussing. my car does the same thig from time to time, ao eventually ill just cus out those connectors and go with a single connector thats newer.

Try this too, after driving it long turn the car off, pop the hood and listen if you can hear air coming out where the radiator cap is. Mine had that problem and would slowly let some coolant out and it ran down the radiator.

finally replaced the radiator cap and now no more buzzer.

mine had the exact same issues.

I've had bad radiator caps too cause annoying loss of coolant. There's also the hoses under the throttle body that are annoying to find (I was afraid a coolant seal had let go for a while until I saw the shine of coolant pooled under the throttle body), and there's the heater hose going from the firewall to the space under the oil filter. That one likes to leak too.

Find the leak, fill it up, bleed the air out with that little bleeder screw, and go. If you keep getting the buzzer, find the next leak, repeat.

If there's no leak, then either there's a wiring fault or the coolant sensor is bad. Are you SURE you've bled the system properly, at the little jog on top of the radiator?

If it's fully bled, look at replacing the sensor. They're cheap, someone will send you one for not a whole lot more than shipping.

You don't want to deactivate that warning system. It's there for a reason. Running a piston engine out of coolant doesn't *usually* cause huge issues if it happens once. Running a rotary out of coolant once will normally destroy the coolant o-rings (requiring a full rebuild), and depending on how hot it gets, it can warp the housings/irons, making your entire motor nothing more than scrap.

Fix it. Don't bypass it.

You probably have just a little low coolant level. probably because the system has some kind of pressure leak and won't suck up the overflow. Then once the thermostat opens the most annoying buzzer in the world will turn off. You can just ground out the wire going to the sensor, but as mentioned above don't run out of coolant. Just keep an eye on that temp gauge and give a quick check often.

talking of ingnorance : ah a warning signal goes off, let's not find out why, but let's dismantle the warning signal

I hope you will never be caught in a fire "smoke alarm? lets pull the batterie of the thing, the sound is annoying"

hehe, we have so many false alarms at our school that we disconnected all the fire alarms in our suite...

If you really want to disconnect the buzzer, go look at the wiring diagrams for the car (you can get the FSM at www.iluvmyrx7.com) and figure out yourself how to cut it off.

well its not really the warning light that i want to turn off, but mostly the buzzer. i can understand that its good to have it , but this thing is loud. i find the one at the rpm redline cool. but this one is horrible and looong. could u imagine driving for 5 minutes with this thing on ....

but anyaways , like i said .the thing is the "prestone" level is perfect.
it just does it when i start the vehicule after a long period that the car was off. but after like 5 minutes or driving, the sounds and the light goes off. sometimes the seat bealts lights goes on, the trunk too. thats why i just wanted to turn off the buzzer for the time that i get the car checked out.

I just disabled mine. Mainly I has small fortune in DEFI gauges that I can trust over than 15 year old factory sensors with 200k miles on them.

but i'm sure there is NOT a DEFI gauge in the world for sale that will tell you if you coolant level is low, or let's say oil level .........
call me stupid.....

Metering gauges are nice to use to get more accurate fact about temps , pressure ect..... but you really must be stupid if you think you don't need warning sensors anymore.......

No offense intended....

Reading this ...... i think you got more (electrical) problems.....
as for turning the buzzer temporarily off, please keep in mind that if the sensor is right, and coolant is indeed low, you can kill the engine within a couple of miles

So the same thing is up with my car. How can I tell if the level is full or not? I filled it this morning and then opened the radiator cap, and there was nothing in there. Then later I got it running and it burst with pressure after I had turned it off and opened it, I lost about 1/4 of a quart..
That is a really annoying buzzer...

Watch the temp gauge like a hawk.
If it goes past 1/2, get the car to cool down by pulling over.
Does your temp gauge get that high?

I filled it this morning and then opened the radiator cap, and there was nothing in there.
So the car runs fine otherwise?
If so, then it sounds like there's a tiny leak in the cooling system somewhere.
The leak doesn't spill coolant, but once the engine starts to cool down, it prevents the cooling system from pulling coolant back from the overflow reservior.

Then later I got it running and it burst with pressure after I had turned it off and opened it, I lost about 1/4 of a quart..
Stop doing that!
Opening the radiator cap when the engine is hot is a big NO-NO!
You could get seriously injured doing that!
Wait at least 10 - 15 minutes to let everything cool down!

That is a really annoying buzzer...
There's a reason for it!
The buzzer is trigged by...
1) low coolant
2) low oil
3) overrev
Any of these conditions can KILL your engine almost instantly.
This is why Mazda designed the buzzer to be annoying and loud!

mine did that too. it was a bad connection on the connector on top of your fan shroud... i just unhooked it, cleaned with with terminal cleaner and a q-tip, and plugged it back in.

worked fine.

Lol... Ted.. My car doesn't run.. I don't ever get a temperature measurement...... lol.. I did however fix my buzzer today.. no more of that ****..

I flushed out my radiator and then refilled it, just be sure to remove the air bleeder while ur filling it. thats what did it for me.. but now I have another problem.. bubbles come to the filler cap from the rear direction of the car... fun huh?
