ACV removal question

My question is when I was removing the air control valve to put a block off plate in its place there was a sensor on the right upper side of the valve next to the top nut to remove the ACV. What is the sensor that is there and what should I do to remove if I can remove it and should I just unplug it from the harness?

It's a solenoid valve, not a sensor. You'll be sweet just unplugging it.
