An actual cold air intake.

I am doing this mod today. I took a DC short ram for a 92-95 civic and cut it so there is one 80 begree bend and am cuttin a whole in the "floor" infront of the AFM just below the fuel pump relay. The filter will end up just next to where the washer res. use to be. With only about 12" of total piping from the afm to the filter. I ahve no H light motor or bracketry so maybe thats why there is room for this.

I too was going to do this, but if you want to keep the pop-up headlights, and more importantly the windshield washer fluid resevoir, it won't work. There just isn't any room down there without removing all the stuff you need on a street driven car. Post some pics when you're done though...

Ive been looking at pics of FMIC on FC's and how the best jobs have been with removing most of the nose. Every thing else up there can be moved and relocated if on is a little creative. AND keep the pop up headlights.

I made an extention for mine as well, and only removed the window washer fluid container.(Dont use em anyway) From the MAF 3in light aluminum pipe at a 90 in to the inner fender to another bend facing the front of the car. Only had to make a 3in circle hole, ditch the WWFC and if you still have the ACV silencer you gotta get rid of it too. wrapped the piping in thermo wrap to keep the heat out and my apex filter on the other end. Cut out in the bumper and no FTP lense brings in cool air in the inner fender, works awesome.
