Dunno about Exedy. I have heard nothing but good about ACT.

Also I am in the same boat. I was looking at Rotary Performances Street/Strip It isn't overly crazy like ACT's 43% increase but that's a good thing.

The more force applied means the quick it wears other parts.

RP's was about $220 as well.

I got the ACT street/strip as a replacement for my stock clutch that I burned out in a few hard launches about the streetport, and I have no complaints. Its probably seen about 40-50 launches and it feels same as the day I bought it.

The dual friction is a fantastic clutch, but it is difficult for less-experienced people to install properly, which is why there are a lot of horror stories with this clutch. The CFDF in my TII lasted through the harsh drag racing of the previous owner, my less-harsh driving, and still runs strong for the current owner 3 years after the initial installation. The pedal effort is very light, but the clutch still holds well. Unfortunately, the CFDF design favors high-torque applications, so the RX-7 does not get the full benefit of this clutch. Most of my V-8 friends prefer the CFDF or Quartermaster clutches. Most of my RX-7 friends prefer the ACT clutches for the bang for the buck factor, or the Quartermaster multi-disk clutches for all-out applications.
