Question act clutch comparison

ok, i have a bad throw out bearing on my 86 rx7. so im just gonna replace the clutch aswell. im looking at getting this ACT clutch from rx7store.net.

my question is, is this one better then this one here . the 1st one comes with the street performance disc. the second one is a 6 pad disc(they also have a 4). i thought the street disc would be better/stronger, but on the specs it shows the same clamping pressure and the 6 pad can handle more tourqe.

im only gonna be pushin about 200hp, maybe a twee bit more.

anybody have any experience with this brand of clutch? if you have a better suggestion, please speak up. $350 is my limit though

You don't want a 6-puck unless you need it to handle the torque. They have a much abrupter engagement that doesn't lend well to the clutch slipping most people do on the street, so they don't last as long. NA's don't put out much torque, so theres not a need for anythign that heavy duty. The first one you listed does look like a good idea, though. The stiffer pressure plate gives some piece of mind, if nothgin else. I have that same pressure plate on my car (but with the stock Exedy clutch) and it works great and is still very drivable on the street.

N/A? Good luck with that, few are at that level without forced induction or porting + stand alone.

Sideways7 is right you don't need a 6puck clutch the SS clutch will work great for you.

If you already have the centerforce, just get a replacement clutch.
