accelerated warm up question
ok i start my 89 tII up in the moring and the idle goes up to like 288 and drops off to like 850 in like 1 sec how can i fix this? it has a jdm motor
Adjust the thermowax/fast idle cam per the fsm. And maybe clean out the water passages to the thermowax. Make sure the water hose is connected to the throttle body. But......back to the first...adjust the fast idle cam and fast idle screw/thermowax. It's in the fsm. Fuel Section.
Even without the A-spec AWS, the ECU still does a fast idle warm up using the BAC.
One option is to put in a J-spec ECU.
Then you get less revs & more fuel mixture enrichment during warm up, and no check codes for deleted emissions solenoids.
