Yeah, pull the engine out then remove them. There is really no issues when removing the engine, you just lift, pull forward, lift pull forward etc.

You will just have to try different socket lengths, extensions, ratchets, and wrenches until you find something that will work out for how you are trying to remove it. Maybe a few universal joints and extension can get you from having to reach under it.

Is it more like you are having a hard time getting any leverage since its in a tight area? If so, position your wrench/ratchet so that you can tap on it with something like a hammer. Support the wrench/ratchet with one hand and tap on the handle with the other. You will knock that fastener soon enough without exerting much force.

you should be able to get to all four compressor bolts, i took mine off using a wrench and your standard socket wrench set. I think on the bottom bolts, you can only loosen them a notch at a time, so it is not easy.

another tip if you do get a wrench on but they wont budge is to try tightening them first. it wil break loose any rust then they will come right off.

Yes they are pita's. The bottom 2. Breaking them loose is easy. I've never actually removed them from the AC compressor, but it is possible to remove them from the bracket, while remaining "in" the AC compressor. A short wrench and alot of elbow grease works for me.

Hope that helps. Don't pull out the torch yet.
