Did you ever find the solution to the problem? Mine comes on now.

Or buy a little thingy that pulls the code.

www.rx7world.com has them for $25 I believe.

mostly likely the abs sensors on the hub has gone bad... note do not spray brake cleaner near or on teh abs sensor.

for sezzi,

did the previous owner disable or pull the pump?

Hum, no brake cleaner huh? I went wild with brake cleaner on my front brakes. Trying to track down thoes stupid creaking brake calipers. Maybe I hit the sensors.

I will look in my service manual on how to check them.

In my case it is not just a light. If I slam on the brakes with the light on I get wheel lock up.

I looked at the rx7world site. The code checker they sell is for the ECU codes. The ABS is a different system. Holy hell if I need to go to the dealer.

I like having ABS. It saves me from boneheaded driving errors. Like going to fast on an on ramp only to find a 90 year old lady waiting for her "BIG BREAK" to merge.
