ABS sensor

Which models came with ABS (S5 vert was standard right, what about S4)?

Are provisions for the sensor included in the hubs of the non ABS S5 models?

ABS sensors are generally hall effects type correct?

What I need is just a single sensor preferably a rear to use as a road speed input.

Anyone know off hand what I would need to get for this to work? (caliper, just the hub, not even the hub just the sensor and trigger wheel bracket etc)

Thanks....

Road speed?

Pull it from the speedo. Red/green wire marked "rd spd" on the back of the cluster. Set the pulses to ~2200

As to your original question exactly. All S5 hubs I've seen have provisions for the sensor, thats about all of that question I know

ABS was only an option on the GXL and turbo in 87.5 and 88 then it was standard on the s5 turbo. ABS was never an option on US spec verts

I tried this, I'm getting a sine wave signal (or so it seems) claudio has mentioned that I can use an MSD 8509 to convert the signal to square wave, but I figured that if I can get the abs sensor parts real cheap (they should be everyone takes abs off after the pump starts leaking), than it would be a cheaper option.

Hmm really? Mine works alright. The readings are slightly elevated from reality, but its mostly as a reference for me.

I know after viewing some of the logs its certainly not the cleanest signal ever - kinda jumpy, but distinguishable.

Maybe its because I'm using an E6X?
