Abs encoder rings on hubs , are they removable?

So I started on my wheel studs today and found out that because I have abs there are gears behind.them blocking the studs from coming out , are they at all removable on the front or rear ?

Yes. But you have to do what you would have to do with or without them on the rear of the car to get the studs out. Remove the hub/knuckle assembly from the car. Press them apart, press out the studs, press the studs back in. Remove the gear by removing the bolts and knocking the gear off the hub. Replace the bearings. Press it all back together.

Same with the front. Except you don't have to replace the wheel bearings in the front.

Would I be better off swapping all my hubs with non abs ?

Or should I spend the extra money to.get them.all pressed and get new bearings?

prolly gonna cost alot, but i guess I may as well if I can father the funds, breaking a bolt.taking the rings off is my only worry.

the rear studs aren't replaceable without taking the hub apart.... it's pretty good practice to replace the bearing anytime you do that.

the front hubs just come right off

If you delete ABS, you don't need new hubs. Just remove the rings and sensors from the hub.

that's what I wanted to do but I thought it might be cheaper to just get hubs I can just bolt on that wont require replacing any bearings or.getting pressed etc.

I may just get all.new bearings and remove my abs stuff if.they can all be removed , seems worth it

I suppose if you got the whole non-ABS rear hub knuckle assembly with known good bearings. Yeah, but time and money invested you will not be saving much. You still wont be any closer to replacing the studs, plus starting with fresh bearings in the rear on a 20-25 year old car is never a bad idea.

Fronts are easy, remove hub, unbolt the allen bolds holding the ABS ring on and knock the ring off the hub, press out old studs, press in new studs, reassemble.
