theyre really the same with exception of a couple of emissions changes, such as no egr etc. That, and IIRC the brake hose has been moved. Of course, youll have to take it all apart and swap wiring harnesses anyway, so you can use your aspec manifolds on this motor and have the same thing, but other than that, I wouldnt worry about it, it's a direct bolt in.

In addition to the comments above, the motor mounts on my Jspec were different, so I had to change them out for the ones on my aspec motor. The vac spider is also different, so that will need to be swapped too.
Another problem I ran into was that the Jspec motor I got was from a car that had an A/T. So I had to change the flex plate out for my flywheel. That is a pain in the *** because you have to remove a 2 5/8 inch nut that is held onto the eccentric shaft with 330 ft. lbs of torque. Hopefully you won't run into this situation.

Good Luck!

Where above do you see any reference to changing the ecu?? The clutch??

We just got done talking about emissions components, motor mounts, and automatic flexplates (yes, some jspecs were autos) and you come back asking about an ecu??

We dont mind answering your questions, but please listen to what we say when we take time to do so. Otherwise Im sure some of the other forum kiddies will be glad to feed you some bullshit answers (read: wrong answers) or just post to say that they dont know but thought they'd post anyway.

Use your Aspec ECU, not the Jspec one (if it even comes with one).
Your clutch will also have to be transefered over from your Aspec motor. I don't think the Jspec motor will come with one. I would also change out the flywheel because the Jspec one will likely be severly rusted or damaged.
Good Luck! Let me know if you have anymore questions.
