My suggestion would be that you stick with the stock clutch fan.

There is not an electric fan made that will work without adding a 15-20 amp extra draw and realisticly to get into the same ballpark of CFM, you will need an electric fan that has around a 30 amp draw.

Efans suck... my stock fan NEVER came on and my car ran exactly 165F all the time. After installing an EFAN the temps will rise untill the fan turns on... its deffinatly NOT worth the hassle. Especialy when the car holds a good constant temp on the stock fan without it even turning on.

Sentences! Punctuation! They exist for a reason... USE THEM.

Listen to Icemark. Unless you have a good reason for needing an efan, stay with the stock fan.

Making space in the engine bay for intercooler pipes & such is a valid reason. Cleaning up the engine bay is also a good reason.

91mazdarx7, a popular e-fan that I have seen alot of members run (myself Included) would be Flex-A-Lite's Black Magic #150. It has a maximum fan CFM of 2800! This Is easily accomplished with the FD Alternator btw.

Thanks, although my newer setup will have my EB having the same colour as the rest of my car. My FC Is currently In several million pieces and cannot be Identified as a FC when viewed at a quick glance.

I have It at a pre-set temp via a dial. The 2nd pic on the left side of all the wires making It's way back to the Fan Is where the dial Is. The probe sits snug b'n the fins of my Koyo at around the lower Radiator Hose.

my e-fan works great ... only pulls 9 amps and it pushes 2100 cfm. the best thing about it is i only paid $64.00 for the fan and 25.00 for the adj. fan switch ... and a strong battery will cure the extra load on your alt.. i think if you trust the work you do its worth it . i also run a R.B. underdrive pully and it all works great ... have part # if you all would like.

so in that post with your problem it was that the space between the fmic rad annd e fan weren't sealed so the fan wasn't pulling air through the fins on the rad therfore it got hotter running right? i was planning on getting a cf panel anyways so you think i'll be fine as long as i got the panel
