91 vert engine

Hi I found 1 fc out of all my local junkyards and the guy wants 150 for motor but doesn't know if it runs. Its in great condition visually and its all complete. Is it worth that price?

For $150, you may just as well rebuild it anyways.

^^ hes right, or you could get a batt, and put some oil in the pulgs, then crank it after the oil sits for a min, and do a compression test.

The car is missing the actual harness, ecu, starter few other things its just a complete engine. Basically what I'm asking is if the motor is worth 150 buxs to part out in case 1 rotor was bad or something of that sort?

Hell, I'd buy a complete engine for that price just to have one to rebuild while I drive my original.
No downtime, FTW!

means you're a noob and you're diving head first into a 2' puddle of water without knowing what you're getting into. meimei is being a negative nancy so just move on.

I honestly agree with you, no better way to learn than with a spare motor.

Ditto.

Also, if you can turn the engine over by hand with no weird grinding noises or what not.. its probably rebuildable.... though, thats not always the case. But for 150 bucks.. go for it! Its only money!
