91 N/A cone intake kit
I ordered one off ebay and wonder if it's worth the touble to install it? My brother is a volkswagon boy and he says it will hurt performance by sucking in hot air. I say he's sucking hot air. I wonder who's right?

especially in a 7 engine bay it will suck hot air, at times... quite hot. If you don't need a large increase in flow (porting work) then it may be worth it, but it's always best to build a CAI box that's sealed off from the engine bay.

Your brother is correct, no point in putting on a cone filter unless you have a box or piping to draw in cold air.
He may not be as stupid as he seems .
Also: You would be better off with a K&N, Apexi, Blitz, or other name filter then anything off eBay, since their filters suck.
