90 TII fast idle

Just got my car put back together yesterday after removing the air control valve, air pump, oil metering pump w/ oil injectors, and split air. also all the solenoids and vacuum rack. Put new injectors in as well 55occ. On first start it hit 4k rmp right away, i figured just some unburnt gas from doing the injectors but that wasn't it.
I messed with the allen bold going into the one side of the bacv (bypass air control valve) and got it do idle down to around 2k but then it bogged down and died, i tried a few different setting with the same bolt and still have a fast idle problem. all the vacuum lines are brand new and shouldn't have any vacuum leaks(need to check w/ a guage). the pressure sensor and blow off valve i have t'd together and run into the vacuum nip just below the bacv, along with the line w/ check valve off the air intake t'd into the line from the charcoal canister to the top of the oil filler neck. otherwise vacuum routing goes as follows. front uim bottom two nips go the the crankcase vent system, top is capped, firewall side uim top nip to injector bleed nip, next capped since the oil injection system is removed, next goes to lower injector bleed on the bottom of the lower intake, and the bottom nip goes to a check valve and onto the throttle body. turbo boost control was removed and capped at both ends since i'm waiting on my boost controller. also noticed that the coolant didn't seem to be cycling like it should, the line into the bacv was getting really warm but the coolant return line wasn't warm and didn't have any pressure. i'm going to start checking all the electrical tomorrow since i had to wire in a new connection to the crank angle sensor, all four injectors, the bacv and o2, all the grounds were cleaned well when removed, and connected properly when installed. any guru's out there know how to fix this let me know.

search pressure testing or boost leak testing, you need to pressurize the whole air system to pinpoint every tiny leak

idles down but still has 3500rpm hesitation

I installed my hks vbc today and that took care of the high idle but i've still got a 3500 rpm hesitation also anytime i really step on it, bacv aws and asv all had good readings on the multimeter. checked the codes and i'm getting one for the knock sensor, which i figured wasn't working since its dripping its insides out onto the plug below, only problem is that i'm to broke to buy a new one after buying all the other stuff i needed. but either way i saved myself at least a grand doing all the work myself. if anyone thinks it could be something besides the knock sensor let me know i'm open to suggestions

replaced the knock sensor and i'm still getting hesitation under load or fast acceleration, cleared the codes and check again, still showing a code 5. all i can think at this point is the ecu, i'm going to check continuity from the sensor to ecu and also check the ecu. another strange thing is the warning lights are all lit up very very dim, only the brake light functions correctly.
