90 T2 Won't start

I just read the FAQ section, and I saw the section where it says;

"My car doesn't start
Remember when starting a fuel injected car you should never pump or press the accelerator pedal, but if it won't start it is probably flooded, Hold the accelerator pedal all the way down while cranking, do not pump the pedal. If it still doesn't start after a few tries, Then remove the EGI fuse and crank a couple more times, then re-install the fuse and try starting again. If then the car still fails to start it then you need to remove and clean the spark plugs, put in a teaspoon of good quality 20W50 motor oil or a teaspoon of ATF into the lower sparkplug holes, re-install the spark plugs and try again. Make sure you change your oil after you have started and run the car ASAP."

I've tried starting it normally and I've tried witht the unflooding method. The car turns over but no ignition, I get the smell of gas when I use the unflood method. I had an oil change about 200kms ago and this is the first time I've had any problems. I've had problems with ignition before but it's usually because the bay is too hot (from what I can tell).

My question is, should I go and clean the spark plugs now? How would I get at the EGI fuse (or should I even bother with that because I know I'm getting gas in there)?

the s5 already have a deflood mode if you hold the gas pedal all the way down to the floor. But in some cases you need to take the egi fuse out which is located in the engine bay, next to the battery under a square black box with fuses in it by the strut tower. It's labeled egi, pull it out. Next crank the engine for a good 15 seconds with your foot all the way down on the pedal. Put the fuse back on, try to start the car.

If it still refuses to start, take out the fuse, crank for 15 seconds (to clear fuel left in there). Then put the fuse back on and you need to take the plugs out and clean them, add some oil as mentioned above. Reassemble, and crank with the pedal all the way down.

Main cause of this is because you either didn't fully warm up the car and then shut it off or you have leaky injectors and need to be cleaned. To prevent this, just hold the pedal all the way down before you shut the car off, let it rev just a bit and quickly turn the key to off. The engine will rev up a bit and the pressure will clear off the fuel system as the engine spins freely. Release the pedal once the engine dies...

After the car starts change oil and spark plugs. By the way this is all assuming your ignition system (your getting spark) and everything else is working properly, you seem to have fuel going in there ok....

Yeah, I tried it again a few minutes after I made this post and I used the de-flood four times or so and gave it a shot again normally and it started with a nice cloud of smoke. But it's fine now, had it going throughout the day. Thanks for the help, I'll keep those tips in mind.
