90 RX7 NA not wanting to start..

Heres what I know about the car. I saved it from getting crushed at the junkyard.. It was sitting for a while and the fuel pump was bad. It will start with starting fluid but wont even stay running too long like that, but times it will as long as you keep spraying. The fuel was nasty and old, it had black "rtv" looking stuff on it. I cleaned out the tank and put a new pump in it. I cleaned the lines and tank. Havent messed with the injectors yet. It gets plenty of spark. It gets plenty of fuel to the rail just havent checked injectors to see if they are gummed up. Im going to pull those tomorrow and see. Im not sure what else it could be other than those. Any suggestions to help me get her going would be appreciated.

Thanks

disable the coils, pull the lower plugs, and crank the engine. look for gasoline mist coming out of the spark plug holes. make sure you replace the fuel filter, and if it was that bad, maybe the fuel pressure regulator as well

New fuel filter is coming monday.. I just wanted to see if it would start like this. Would the regulator have gone bad too?

if it's that gummed up in the lines, it wouldn't surprise me. But start with the fuel filter. in fact, if you're feeling frisky, you can take it off, and yes, quite literally, try to blow through it from the tank end and see if you can (just to verify that it's clogged)

I pulled the hose from the filter to the hard rail and fuel comes through really fast and a lot of it. I pulled the bottom plugs and turned over and fire ***** came out. I disabled the coils and felt no mist.. just air.
