Back about 10 yrs ago my dad had for a short time a low mileage 90 rx7 turbo II with a 5 speed trans. This little car would flat out haul. I remember many times roasting the tires in 1st and 2nd. in fact my dad was pretty cautious about letting me drive it. It also handled like nothing I had driven before. With this little car you could pick your place in traffic and without hardly knowing it you where there. I got to thinking about this little car and wondered how it stacked up to other cars of the time. assuming the car was stock, which I am not totally sure it was.

What was the hp for the 90 model

what was the approx 1/4 mile time for this car, assuming stock

how easy was it to boost the hp, since It is a turbo, I would assume you could add more fuel and air, but whathp level was easy to attain

 

90 turbo is 200hp. 1/4 in 15 secs.

for it's year there were only a couple cars that would beat it. like the corvette or turbo trans am. (not inclucing porshes and $$$ cars etc)

it is still pretty quick even by todays standards.
