90 Rotor Housings vs 87's

I have a 87TII block that I opened to start planning my next motor buildup.
I also have a 90N/A block that I opened. The 90 Rotor Housings are in ALOT better shape.

Can the 90N/A Rotor Housings accept or be used in the 87Turbo motor...?

I already know about the water/coolant passage needing to be drilled out, and the diffrence in exhaust ports.

Thanks for ANY help.

Spark plugs are in a slightly different place. You could use them as long as you used BOTH '90 housings.

Yea, I would use both 90' Housings, but can I use 87TII rotors w/these...? I heard I could from one person, and I could NOT from another...?

Would using the 90' housings effect the use of the 87 crananglesensor since the spark plug holes are slightly at diffrent spots...?

This is what I'm thinking about using since all the parts I'm listing here are in EXCELLENT shape:

90 N/A Rotor Housings
87 TII Intermediate Housings
87 TII Rotors

The car is set-up NOW using ALL the parts off a stock 87 TII. Internally and externally.

The '87 rotors are fine. Also, the '87 style CAS is fine as well.

No problem as long as you swap out the exhaust sleeves. The relevant difference is in the trailing sparkplug location- that effects emissions more than anything else. Rotors are fine, just remember that the rotors, front counterweight, and rear counterweight/flywheel should be treated as one balanced assembly. DO NOT try to mix parts between years there.

If you want the car to be emissions legal, you might think twice about it.

Emmissions legal...LOL. I plan on the thing being as far from emmissions legal as possible.

I was told that the 90 rotor housings, being the trailing sparkplug hole is in a diffrent location will effect more then just emmissions... It will effect the 87 CAS/ECU/Coils... and would be like driving on a retarded timing....??? Which totally wouldn't be good since I plan on building this motor to make gains over the current motor in the car now. Is there any truth here? It's really important otherwise I wouldn't ask again. THANKS.
