90 n/a lean except at idle

narrowband is reading lean pretty much at all times except at idle. when you let go of throttle and let it come down to idle it runs lean for a second and then okay. any throttle it seens makes it lean. what should i be looking at? o2? tps? map?

i read something about the decceration valve cutting fuel to the rear rotor. could it be that?

a narrowband isn't trusthworthy it could the gauge thats mess up. if you would like to see if its lean and what not invest in a wideband its more accurate,,imo

Yeah narrowbands usually read Lean or Rich and nothing really in between.

i understand that narrowbands aren't for tuning. but the o2 should be cycling back and forth between lean and rich. it only does at idle (runs between 600-800 mV. under acceleration it sits at 13 mV. when you downshift the exhaust will pop a couple times and which brings o2 voltage up for half a second. it seems to pull and pick up speed pretty good, but not sure if thats because its lean. also when the clutch is held in the idle goes bouncy, when clutch is out it idles ok.

If you have an air pump and ACV, it will tend to read lean all the time except at wide open throttle.

The only time the O2 sensor will bounce between rich and lean is during closed loop operation, which happens at light load during cruise.

The gauge should read full lean at idle, rich at full throttle acelleration, full lean during decel and bounce during closed loop. Assuming a stock car with a good O2 sensor.

However it makes sense to check your TPS, and replace the O2 sensor if you have not done so (the sensors are cheap).
