90 Intake into 86 RX7

Is it possible or even a good idea to install a 1990 intake (complete with the TPS,Secondary fuel injectors and fuel rail, dynamic chamber, and upper and lower intakes) into my 1986 RX7? Is this possible? How much work any modifications? Any advantage over stock 86? An suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

It can be done, but...

Unless you custom use the S4 Lower intake manifold in combination, and do port matching or true porting of the manifold, there are little gains to be had in HP.

Infact without port matching, in the mid range you will actually loose HP, that you will gain back at 6000+ RPM (which does not help much since redline on a 86 is 7000 RPM).

You also would keep your current injectors, as the injectors on the 88-91 would not work with your wiring.
