I have a 90 GXL with compression illness and likely need to replace engine. Cash is an issue so should I sell it for parts,junk it ,donate it for a write-off,or are their people out there that would want to drop an engine in a car otherwise in excellent condition. I wish I had the financial means to do just that but I cant afford to fix the car I loved driving. Thanks for any guidance...

don't part out a good car! put it in the for sale section and give it a new home. I'm sure somebody in your area wants a car to drop a new engine in.

 

You can stick a replacement engine in for less than 1K. trust me if you save your pennys you could have a engine in there in about a month. Find a longblock (got mine for 700) and slap it in. trust me it's easy.
