9" too wide?

I was wondering is a 9 inch widew heel was too wide for an approximately 400-450 HP application.

the wheels im lookin at are 18X9 with a 25 offset.......they supposedly came off a rx7 in Japan and are the only set in the US (supposedly...and not why i would be buying them...their sexy)

for 400-450 hp should be okay, but i'd actually try to go just a tad bit wider, the wider the sexier in my opinion....

w/ 450hp in a 2800lbs car i would think a wide body and 13" would be acceptable.

9" wide matches a 255 to 265 wide tire pretty good, IMO.
That's not enough to tame 450hp at the wheels.
I would go at least 10" or 10.5" and run at least 275...285...maybe 295 if I could stuff them in the back.

450hp at the wheels will spin the 255's out back no problem, unless we're talking race rubber.

350 at the wheels will spin 255s out back no problem. I have proven that..
