i'm new to the board and i'm logged in on my friends name. anyways, i'm buying an 89gtu for $300. it's an automatic, yea i know that's bad...i previously owned a 91 vert so i know enough about them and was hooked the first time i drove the vert. when you try to start the gtu, it just clicks...starter, right? i was wondering:
1. has anyone replaced a starter on an automatic 2g?
2. is it hard to replace the starter?
3. what would i need to make it a 5-speed? (definitely future plans)
4. do the automatic gtu's come with the lsd?

You said you had a 89 GTU... refering to my post you'll notice that the 89 GTU didn't come with a LSD.

In 89 only the GTUs (note the small "S") and the Turbo II came with a factory LSD.
