Question Will I Blow My Engine???

I got a street ported non turbo 2nd gen and i was wonderin how can i check if my mixture is to rich or to lean. I hear that my engine could blow if the fuel air mixture is at either of the two extremes. And if i do have the wrong mixture then how can i adjust it???

Do you have an S4 or an S5? 86-88 or 89-91?

An air fuel gauge will monitor the mixture. Cost about $60.

An Apex S-AFC can change your mixture manually. Cost about $300.

Its extremely hard to blow up a n/a engine. As long as you don't run to much timing, it'll be fine. Trust me....I have every bolt-on in the world, with a street port, and my stock ecu was running a 10-1 air fuel ratio.

Also, the a/f gauges don't realy work. When I first got my car, it had a 4,500rpm rev limiter due to a burnt out injector. The guage I had still read full rich! If you are realy worried about it, put it on a dyno with a wide band. CJ
