Since I'm gonna need to do a rebuild on my 88 GTU engine, will there be any hang-ups (electrical or otherwise) with going to the 89-spec intake to boost hp somewhat?

You'll have to mount the single TPS from the series 4 on it, (fairly easy and straightforward) as well as devising a control for the VDI and aux ports. Don't suspect you have to pass emissions in Ohio, correct?

 

Is it true that if you change the s4 intake manifold to an s5 will give you more hp??

 

A slight increase, as they used bigger runners, and the VDI! :-D

some people claim 5-10, haven't seen any dyno sheets of it myself, I think someone posted one quite a while ago but I've long lost it.
