89 13b match up to 86 5speed tranny?
Is anyone here aware of any reason an 89 motor wouldn't match up to a 86 5speed tranny?

Nope. As long as the transmissions are both from a non-turbo car, there shouldn't be any problems.

They work just fine. Only real difference is in the OD gear. The S5's is a bit taller.
