88 vert power steering pump
Was on my way home from work today and started hearing this thumping noise from the front of the car and it made this whirr noise when I turned the wheel. Managed to make it home and popped the hood to see the pulley wobbling and fluid spewing from the filler neck. New to rotarys but know enough to know the pumps bad. Just wondering how bad the install is and how long it'll take. Plus are there any other parts such as gaskets, o rings, etc that ill need to get seperately to replace the pump? I've never replaced a water pump before so have no idea.. thank you!

Which pump? Your thread title says steering but your comments say water. Either way shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to an hour. Water pump, gasket and coolant for that one, pull the fan, loosen the alternator and air pump, remove belts switch pump and refill coolant and bleed air out. PS pump is pretty easy too, loosen tensioner, remove belt, unbolt lines, disconnect return hose and swap pumps, refill done and.done

Power Steering sorry lol. I got so used to replacing them on my Monte Carlo it's hard for me to say any other pump lol. But there's no gaskets or anything special when doing a power steering pump?

Nope, pull the whole unit off the side and exchange it with a new/good one. Just be sure its the same series (86-88 or series 4 cars have vehicle speed dependent steering where 89-91 series 5 have engine speed dependent )
