"88 vert" entire electrical is wacked pls help
I did do a search and some questions were answered, but not these. ok here goes, my convertible top works sometimes, my power windows also work sometimes. When my heater blower doesnt work the windshield wipers also dont work, at the same time, then the blower will turn on and the wipers will work. where do these two join one another? I do not have the fuse box cover from the 88 vert, but i have one from my 90 GXl. I am not sure if they are the same because some of the fuses do not match up, and also where is shows to have the conv top fuse, the fuse is missing, but the top does work "sometimes." this makes me believe that they are not the same, so if they are then why does the top still work "sometimes"( and i guess i should change the ones that does match up) and if they are differant can someome pls show me a pic of the 88 vert cover. PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU

Wow! well when I got my 88 vert (white) I changed all the fuses. I'd make sure you have all the right fuses in all the proper places. Then at least the fuses won't be an issue.

I have the same problem with my 88 vert. If I turn the key off and then restart the car, it usually goes away. I think it is a "ground" problem. The stereo is out of mine, and there is a bundle of loose wires under the dash, I figured that a have a bad/loose ground. A bad ground would explain all of the electrical problems in the auxillary circuits, but if there is some main ground, I dont know where it is...

***top still works with no fuse hmm how is this poosible?>***
Why not try this then: Pull one fuse...bump the top switch. If it still works, then put that fuse back in and try removing another fuse and do the same til you find which fuse powers the top.
I have no idea how convertible tops work so if there is no switch to bump.....forget this idea.
