88 vacuum hose (lower intake) question

I am in the process of fixing an 88 'Vert (5 speed) that suffered from the famed leaky PD...a nice little engine fire nearly ruined the car. Everything is almost buttoned back up, but I have a few questions. I would like to FINISH this car tomorrow so I can get my 85 GSL back from my roomie (letting him borrow it while I fix his 'Vert) so any help would be appreciated!

First question: There is a vacuum nipple on the lower intake, down near the oil injectors that go into the intake. What hose do I plug into this? Pic attached...

TIA
-Jacob

I have never seen that hose dude. I can take a look for you on my car but with the intake on it it is going to be hard to find it.

LOL - exactly. I'd really like to figure it out before the upper intake goes back on, because I am tired of playing with this car!

It's tempting to cap it, of course...but since I'm getting paid to do this job, I'm not taking any shortcuts...*groan*. If you look in the upper right corner of the pic, you can see the new oil metering line that I had to buy to replace because one of the used ones the owner bought wasn't perfect. The injectors also look brand new - had them rebuilt by RC Engineering. I want this car to run perfectly when it's done, so I won't have to see it in my garage for a long time! Well, except when the owner decides to start modding it...

Anyone else have a clue?

no, dont plug that.
that helps mix the air in the little "diffuser" insert things below injectors, or something like that. I am 90% sure that the vacuum line goes from that fitting to one of the fittings just after the throttle plates. I'm not 100% sure b/c I dont have the FSM or Haynes manual in front of me, but I have studied them A LOT.
look at the haynes, their diagrams are pretty big and easy to follow

HMmmmmmm thanks! I wish I had the FSM laying around, I'll recheck the haynes (or Chilton, can't remember which) but I haven't been able to find it yet...

The front, middle of the Dynamic Chamber. It's the middle vacuum line.

Awesome, thank you very much!

So the top hose goes to the "spider," the second goes to that nipple, and the bottom (third) goes to ______?

Appreciate the help! The weather here in Texas may just be nice enough to put the top down sometime soon.

Of course, I'll be in my GSL with the sunroof removed...
