88 turbo 33.7 thou for 6 grand a deal?

Just now heard of an 88 turbo vert with 33,700 original miles absolutely mint for 6 grand. Not an old lady going to church on Sunday, but a retired physician with 5 other older sports cars all bought new. Should I? Already have a 90 N/A nearly mint.

that is alot of work to make an 88 vert a turbo. I don't think it would be that cheap.. are you sure it's a turbo? maybe a vert with a TII hood?

does it happen to be right hand drive by any chance?

If it IS a turbo vert, then that makes it even harder to say if you should get it or not. The guy I bought my car from did a conversion and made a Turbo Vert as well, and I would NOT buy ANYTHING from this guy again. Make sure you see the kind of work he's done on it and DRIVE IT before you buy it, that way you don't get molested on the deal like I did. Good luck though

Good point on the hood. However, I think that the resale value would be the opposite. If the car has a TII hood or other TII conversion parts, then it would be worth much less than the Blue Book price of about $5,700. On the other hand, if it is an all-original right hand drive import convertible, then you should drive over to his house as fast as you can, and hand him a check for $6K before he realizes what it's REALLY worth.
