FL 88 t2 oil pan sensors

ok I have my 88 t2 that I'm bringing back to life.
my issue is the x2 sensors on the oil pan
1 sensor is for the oil level and
one that looks like a temp sensor.
the one that just screws in the pan with 1 wire,
I need to replace this sensor because the wire is broke of to short to repair.
I need to know if there is a simple aftermarket sensor with better and more durable wire or connector that I can pickup from my local parts store (live in south east Florida).
also what is this sensor for ??

It's for the subzero start assist. It is absolutely useless so you don't need to worry about it.

Just to note, S5's do not have this, only S4 cars.

Here is some info on it -> https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...il-pan-826382/
