88 Rx-7 wont start

When i try to start her, all i get is a clicking nose when i turn the key, i think it could be b/c the battery cables isnt on tight at all, but im just wondering what else it could be (for other options)

any help would be apperciated

Well since you say the battery cable isnt tight at all, then more than likely that is it. If it isnt that you need a new battery. but i am sure it is because the battery cable is loose.

Its probably your starter. Try hitting the starter a few times with a hammer and than try starting her.

Damn i thought it would be battery related for sure. Maybe it is the starter; but that is a guess. If someone had a new battery lying around i would swap it out and make sure it wasnt the battery, even though the battery tested good there cold still be somehing wrong with it. My neighbors montero did the same thing....click click click when trying to start...i replaced there battery for them and it fixxed it..and that was like 4-6 months ago..no problem. Are your interior and head lights dim?
Oh well..maybe someone else will chime in.
