88 RX-7 Turbo hot restart issue
88 RX-7 Turbo hot restart issue
Greetings All,
The issue I am dealing with is the car starts good cold, and if you turn the hot engine off with the key it restarts good, but if the engine is hot and you kill it while taking off from a stop, it will not restart. It will crank but will not fire, but it will start while hot with a push start and not cranking the starter. Otherwise, I have to wait till the engine cool off. The local Mazda dealer doesn't have a clue what's wrong and they could not find any evidence of flooding.
So has anyone else had this problem?

It would be nice to include a link to this same posting of yours in another thread so others are not running completely blind in helping you and they don't have to worry about asking the very same questions already asked. And you placed this posting in the wrong section as it should have been placed in the specific board

test the compression, the symptoms point towards that being a likely cause.
an engine with marginal compression would start ok cold, even start hot, but any hint of too much fuel(stalling out) and it chokes up.
