88 RX-7 Convertible Won't Start
It ran fine on Saturday then on Sunday went to start it and it turns over but won't start. I checked the fuel its ok. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Mods are K&N Cone Filter, Koyo Radiator and that's about it. I have not done any engine work and its got 75000 miles on it. All mainteneance has been kept up. Changed plugs and wires about 10000 miles ago.

There is a two pin green connector by the air filter. Put a jumper wire on that, turn the key on, lay down under the back of the car and see if you can hear the whirr of the fuel pump.
Then post your results.

Try unflooding.
Open hood, pull out top two fuses from fuse panel, put gas pedal to floor and crank for ten seconds. Remove key from ignition, replace fuses. Start car normally.

This was in the FAQ
My car doesn't start
Remember when starting a fuel injected car you should never pump or press the accellerator pedal, but if it won't start it is probably flooded, Hold the accelerator pedal all the way down while cranking, do not pump the pedal. If it still doesn't start after a few tries, Then remove the EGI fuse and crank a couple more times, then re-install the fuse and try starting again. If then the car still fails to start it then you need to remove and clean the spark plugs, put in a teaspoon of ATF into the lower sparkplug holes, re-install the spark plugs and try again. Make sure you change your oil after you have started and run the car ASAP.

I used to have the same problem until I installed a fuel cut switch. Also you can reach under the dash with you right hand and pull off the harness, start the car and plug it back in before it runs out of fuel. Once you get the hang of it you can do this with ease. Also its a great anti theft device because when its unplugged the car can't start. 89-91 guys sorry you don't have this option.

So far the assumption is that the engine is flooded. It very well may be, but more info is needed to diagnose this. The engine has a "different" sound when flooded in that you do not hear the "compression". IT just sounds like its turning without any resistance when flooded.
