Cars Put Away - What do u think of Spring Plans?

Hey, I put the car away in storage for the winter last weekend. I store in a heated garage so my storage technique is not all that extensive ( also this is my first winter storing so I didnt really know much - i think what I have done should be fine)
Winter Storage for 88 n/a Vert - 120,000kms

Got the car completely washed up, filled the tank, added Stabil fuel stabilizer, disconeccted EGR Fuse and turned car over to lube rotors and engine internals, disconnected battery and put vasoline on the wire ends and battery end (dont know what thats called), threw cover on and kissed goodbye.

Ive been surfing the threads for a bit and have started writing a journal of what I would like to do to the car and what I plan to do in the spring. I just got this car at the beginning of the summer and it is bone stock other than a drop on k&n. Im pretty unfurmiliar with the car and the rotary scene but I want the car to be running mint in the spring so I plan to do the following: Please add anything else you can think of so I can add it to my journals to do list. Thanks.

I plan to do an initial check-up of the car in the spring (once I take it out for a first rip of course), this check is pretty much taken from AaronCakes website and includes:

Checking the belts and hoses, getting a compression check at my local mazda dealer, checking my idle rpm's and making sure the BAC valve is working properly, checking the radiator for an internal coolant leak (bubbles), checking the pulsation damper ( pretty sure its original - should i replace regardless with this mileage on the car??), doing a 5th and 6th port check and fixing that if theres a problem.

I would also like to check my wheel bearings and fix my sloppy shifter, im pretty sure the bushings are non existent and at that point I would just add a short shifter kit.

After this initial check is complete I plan on doing the full 60k tune-up replacing all the fluids (brake, clutch, tranny, engine oil, coolant and rear differential), replacing the spark plugs and cables (what cables are these??? battery cables??) may also get new battery while imat it mine appears to be fairly old, I will replace the oil and fuel filters and clean the k&n drop on, replace the belts and the O2 sensor ( why?, where?, how?)

What do you guys think?? Anything to add. My goal is to get the car running as good as possible in stock form. I dont think I will do any crazy mods to this set up as I plan to do a t2 swap when this engine needs rebuilding but that should be quite a while.

Few questions:
1. What oil and fuel filters do you guys recommend for my application?
2. What fluids to use ( best brands, types etc.) Synthetic what? (tranny, diff.????)
3. At this milleage should I have my injectors cleaned or replaced, how much are injectors and how do I remove them to send them to a cleaning shop.

I know this is long and I do know how to search the archives etc. its just ive been noticing many different and often opposite views on issues and I want to do this properly. Thanks

dont use synthetic oil. I'm not 100% sure on what to use, but I use 10W40, and your injectors prolly dont need taken out, but if you get the grease lightining cleaner from a parts store, and put it in the gas, it'll clean em' really good

Oil

I did use some brand of injector cleaner this summer when I got the car but I dont think i really noticed much of any improvement. I did some research on the board when I got the car and I ran Castrol GTX 20w-50 all summer and thats whats in it presentley. I got the rear differential and tranny fluid replaced ( i got a synthetic tranny fluid put in and opted for regular fluid in the rear)
So, i sort of know the whole synthetic debate. Will the synthetic tranny fluid eat my synchros, sould I cange this back for next spring??? help
ps thanks for the injector websites, still undescided on that.
keep em coming guys, I need direction!

I recommend going with what you want on the oil :P. I use mobil 1 fully synthetic oil and I havnt ran into any problems. Many people will tell you its bad for the rotary well others will say its fine. Just go with a good brand, (mobil 1, royal purple, etc ... I think icemark posted a list of good low ash oils). But I say go with what you want for oils ;P I feel if I change it plenty and use good oil it will be fine. Guess I will find out, so far shes running very well.

I forget exact weight. I will check when I get home from work. But 1 main reason I use it is for the turbo, which you dont have.

But yeah I heard it can build up. But I feel the synthetic now adays are alot better then they use to be and wont build up as easly. But I just make sure I change it a bit more often....I like to use MMO also.
