88 N/A cut out at 3500rpm

When I rev above 3800, my secondaries open up and I get a boost of more power. Lately, when I get to about 3500, I actually get a power cut as if its not getting enough fuel. Sometimes it acts like maybe the secondaries are stuck closed (which it has been cold), and then they pop open and I get my power boost. Other times the power comes and cuts, and the car bucks. I replaced the fuel filter not too long ago, and I was thinking of replacing it again to knock it out of the equation. What's going on?

it happens alot..search 3800 hesistation..some say grounding issues ,others injectors.. although it really hasn't been totally solved..it's a quirk that RX7's have ..some do ..some don't..luckily my 88 doesn't have it..(smooth all the way)

I am familiar with the 3800 rpm hesitation and this this is not it. Mine has never had it...i've driven RX7s that have. This is more than just a burp at 3800, it is a cut out all the way thorugh the range, for as long as the rpms are high.
