Waterpump question
Hi all,
I have a question about waterpump. Here are the conditions:
1. I need new belts.
2. I need a waterpump (leaking from the bottom hole)
3. I need to drive about 1,000 miles
4. I've never changed belts or waterpump.
My question is:
1. Belts seems to be easy to change, and I don't foresee any issue, but not sure of waterpump. Can I wait on the waterpump? Or, am I in immediate need?
The thing is, I rarely get to drive (like 1,000 miles/yr for the last 2 years) so I'd prefer to take the FC. If it's a matter of filling from time to time and not using AC, it's no problem.
Thanks for any advice!

Ricky, how much do you like the car? Sure, it might go 1000 miles or 100, or 10, why risk it?
I just changed mine out not to long ago. If pump and belts are in hand, 2 hours, maximum! Don't take the chance! I've got a 90 vert, so only real thing to watch out for is bolts for pump also hold housing in place, so be careful when taking off old pump, as not pull housing out. Otherwise, another gasket, and more time. Also, one bolt is kinda difficult to get, so take off your fan , then pulley, and the rest is gravy.

Thanks Mombodog!
Year, I kept looking at Haynes, as it looked silly to not change the pump since I'm changing the belts. I just wasn't sure how hard (dumb proof) it really was. 2 hours doesn't sound bad at all!
Thanks for the tip; I'll be specially careful with the housing.
