Porting engine
Upgrade injectors
Fuel pump
fuel lines
intake -CAI
exhaust - headers, presilencer instead of a cat, cat back or full exhaust for n/a
Fuel computer or remapped ECU or even haltek ECU
Ignition timing
S5 UIM, if possible
maybe FPR

but im not sure will it 250rwhp.

these are just ideas but would not be within your 1000 - 2000range

you won't be able to do it unless you went with a hugely radical port and tons of supporting mods. the rebuild alone is over your budget. sorry to say but it isn't feasable.

turbo is your bet but that also is over your price range.

so as a first step would you recommend getting Racing Beat's Full Exhaust Set-up for N/A's
(headers---blah blah----mufflers) cold air intake and the haltek ecu maybe? i wouldn't really know wut to do with the ECU though...(no knowledge of ECU tuning =x) Porting sounds costly for me for now...

IMO, it sounds like you want power. if i were in your shoes try to get as much out of your current car and use the extra cash you have to buy a TII. a few mods to even a stock TII can put you in the power range you are looking for.

i agree with Karack, turbo is the easiest and cheapest way. im in the process of making my n/a a monster but the problem is it costs money. i like turbo's and stuff, they sound cool but they arent for me... and no nitrous

I think reaching that 250hp goal will be very hard to do with your price range.

But, heres some good info on people doing it. A lot of good info!

250rwp on an n/a? *scratches his head*

You can save up for a stock TII and then with one upgrade (the racing beat exhaust system ans fcd) get 259hp.

Man this one is a no brainer...

show me a dyno of a stock TII with exhaust and fuel cut defender that gets 260 to the wheels

Im calling BS on that one

edit: the S5 TII is 200 BRAKE hp....so ~ 170-180 to the ground...therefore you are suggesting that these two mods raise the output of the motor by approx. 67%???

Wow this editing is getting old fast.

I did not say it was whp as I know they are talking in terms of bhp.

Here's the breakdown:

s4 239BHP
s5 259BHP

And this is Racingbeat's claim not mine.

If I didn't let my neighbor use my dynamometer and he didn't break it I would show you the dyno sheet. (Incase you didn't notice that last sentence was a joke)

I wouldnt worry about getting to 250 hp, these cars are still quick with less hp because they dont weigh much. But if you wanted to get around 250 I would just get a full exhaust, an intake, a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, 100hp shot of nitrous, and that should get you near 250 anyways. It wont be NA but it will probably be cheapest route, and well within 1000-2000 moneys. I would also get it dyno tuned, just to be safe.

RB's claim is actually dyno proven though. Seen the sheets somewhere but I am too lazy to look now.

RB Header

If I remember right, RB only recommended the header for carbed applications.

I had the Holley kit and header pror to going turbo.
