88 engine 90 vert

My 90 convertible’s engine is now a door stop. I have run across 88 and wanted to know if the engine in the 88 would go into the 90, or would the engine and transmission have to go into the 90?

Yes, but it requires some modifications. I had an 88 engine in my 91 vert for a while. Until I turbo swapped the bitch. Check the FAQs I think all the info you need to know about s4 engines in an s5 will be in there.

I check the FAQ and the swap from non turbo to turbo info is there. This is a swap from an 88 engine to a 90 vert. Which I did not see. What mods would have to be done?

Dude, if you can get the engine out then you can rebuild it. Just rebuild your engine. It IS simple. You can do it in your back yard on a park bench and using a 5 gallon bucket.

To me, Getting the engine out was harder than rebuilding the long block..........

I Got the engine out and the flywheel nut The rear rotors apex seals went, they thos rotated around the housing, which has damaged the rotor housing, the rotor, and the rear engine housing. So what I really need is the rotor, the rotor housing, and rear engine housing. Along with the rebuild kit. I found this car and the guy might give it up for less than a grand.
Which is what I would have to pay for the parts.
