I have an 88 convertible 13B 100k miles that I am having an issue with. I have changed the fuel pump and air control valve but when driving it looses power suddenly, and very hard, but doesn’t stall. It’s very jarring like throwing out an anchor. It doesn’t happen over 3k rpm. It happens when it’s hot after driving 10 or so minutes. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be? I’ve taken it to a couple repair shops but since it happens after driving they haven’t been able to pin it down.
Any suggestions of what to try next would be appreciated.

It idles fine but won’t rev past 1200 rpm and the power cuts off very hard. It doesn’t respond to the throttle at all, cutting out at part or full throttle.

Turned out to be a MAF. The pin on the gate was broken. Didn’t expect that.
