87 turbo 2 fuel question

Now my car has all emission controls taken off of it. All i ever hear is that i need to premix my car like a 2stroke engine. now, i've been doing this but its getting frustrating having to constantly mix oil. I'm just wondering. Is this really necessary? Also, what octane should i be running with no upgrades done to my car other than a walbro 255, and a fuel pressure regulator.

When you took the emissions off, did you remove your OMP? If not, you are still injecting oil (which is fine) and there is no need to premix. Run premium fuel, easy enough.

if the car is competely stock and running stock boost, it can safely run on 87, which as far as I know is recommended from Mazda in the owners manual.

I've kept up a bit with your other thread in the new member section, chunkamunka1. I remember you askng about premixing. I suppose you went through with removing the MOP, oil nozzles, and associated vacuum lines? If so, and you're sick of premixing, reinstall all MOP system parts.

If you choose to go back to the MOP system... You'll still have to premix for about 200 or so miles, as it will take time for the metering oil lines to re-pressurize.

My only trouble is, i didn't remove all of the omp stuff, The previous owner did. Although he did give me a box of stuff for the car. It might all be in there. I guess i'll have to look into it.

I just don't understand why the car NEEDS oil to be injected into it. Could i get a detailed explanation of why?

Oh, and thanks a ton. Everyone on rx7 club has been so helpful to me. Honestly if i never would have found this site, my car probably wouldn't be running right now. (:

the omp injects oil directly into the combustion chamber to lubricate the apex seals. If the Omp is removed the engine has no way of getting lubrication, and BAM..blown engine due to NO lube/apex seal failure.
With premixing the oil and gas mix enter the combustion chamber and keep the seals lubricated.
Premixing is SO,SO easy..1 gallon gas to one oz of 2 stroke. It doesn't have to be Bang on..just as long as you stay within reason.
I carry small bottles of 2 stroke like for Chain saws, etc on my car.they have like 3 oz each in them.
I put in 15-20 bucks of gas and a bottle of 2 stroke and I am off.

The car needs oil to be injected into it for lubrication. I think we all know the means of lubrication.

Do you want to hear metal on metal? Your engine won't last long...

As I posted in your other thread... This is a pretty insightful thread. -> https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=Premixing

From what I've read...
- Use TCW-3 two stroke oil. (Synthetic two stroke costs more.)
- Anywhere from 0.5oz to 1oz oil, per gallon of gas.
- Add the oil first. Then pump gas.

A piston engine usually has a oil bath that also lubes the piston rings and such. On a rotary there is nothing lubricate the combustion chambers, and the oil system usually injects it directly into the chambers to lube the apex, corner, and side seals. So when you delete said system, you have to "premix" your gas to lubricate the vitals.

In other words, VERY IMPORTANT
