Need help, New to Premixing!
So i was searching around and i happen to see a bunch about premixing but they are all different, my metering lines broke and id rather block it off and premix. My question how do i premix and what amount should i put in the gas tank? Any tips and help to prevent my engine from dying would be awesome, thanks guys!

I'm not sure if it is the same for a roto... But on my 2-stroke dirt bikes I use one small bottle (12oz?) of golden spectro to one 5 gallon fuel can. If you have a nice ratio like that, you could just keep the fuel can and premix in the back of your car, and fill the can and pour it in your car. Remember to fill the can with the oil first so when you pour the gas in, it mixes properly.

I've always ran Maxima Castor 927 premix oil and have never had an engine fail. My mixture has always been 3.5 ounces per 5 gallons. I've ran this mixture in everything from a stock 12A to a big bridge port 13B spraying 150 shot of N2O to supercharged and turbo ported 13Bs.
Maxima also has a nice little premix bottle that I keep in one of the storage bins, along with a funnel and bottle of premix. I pour the amount of oil in the bottle that I will need for the amount of fuel I will be pumping in, add a little fuel, seal the bottle, shake, then pour it into the tank and complete my fillup of 5, 10, or 15 gallons of fuel. Shake the bottle out, wipe the outside, seal it up and no fumes while travelling.
Here's a pic of the premix bottle that has all sorts of measurements on it. You can usually purchase one for less than $10.

Hope that helps a little.

as long as the 2-stroke oil is tcw-3
You can put in 1/2 to 1 ounce per gallon. If you beat your car almost everyday, 1 ounce should be enough. It doesnt need to be so accurate.
Most 32 ounce bottles have a side marking for measurement. I normally follow the side markings of the bottle, its normally in 4 ounce increments.

Any TCW-3 oil will work. Add the oil first, so the gas pouring in mixes it all up.
No, it is NOT the same. This is not a 2-cycle motor, that heavy of a mix is not needed.

You don't have to Drain the fuel that you have in the Tank.
a full tank is either 16 or 20 gallons.(depending on S4 or s5 tanks)
so Half is 8 or 10.
so Full tank is 16 oz(or 20 ) of 2 stroke.
half tank is 8 oz( or 10) of 2 stroke.
this is at 1 oz per gallon.
..SO,Just look at what you have left IN the tank( fuel level./dash board)..you can judge what you need and then Dump it in the tank..The Oil doesn't have to GO First.(after this First top up though, you can do Put oil in first, and make a habit to do it.).
The Fuel pump along with the Sloshing around from the vehicle's motion will mix the 2 stroke and Fuel Up Just FINE.(The "Temporary lapse" Of NO 2 stoke in gas will not affect the internals,it is not like the car wasn't lubed and running for 200 miles..it'd be like 45 seconds.Tops)

I put the oil in first to make sure it gets mixed well when I pump it, but you don't have to. After the first treatment you'll have oil laden gas in the whole system anyway so you'll have lubrication on start up. I put in about 16oz for a full fill, which is closer to 14.5gal than 16....

Smells like 2 stroke.
First thing you need to do is figure out how much gas is in the tank. You need to get that gauge working. Worse comes to worse you could remove the fuel pump and look down in the tank. That would also give you a good indication of how clean the inside of your tank is lol.
My 2 cents:
When you remove and block off the Oil Metering Pump, put 2 or 3 (I cant remember) dimes between the block off plate and the shaft. (unless you remove the shaft and gear inside the front cover). Next remove and block off the injectors. Use sealant on whatever you put in the injector holes. Cap the vacuum port. Then, after you have done all this and know how much gas is in your tank, put the proper amount of 2 stroke oil in the tank. (you don't need tcw3 in a pinch, but that's what I use.) That valvoline you found will work fine. I run a 1.3oz per gallon ratio in my car. But it's up to you what ratio you want to run. I gauge mine on my driving style, like most people on here do. You don't need to mix the oil in a gas can before you put it in. Hell, you don't even need a funnel. I carefully pour the oil in the tank before I fill up, straight from the bottle.
Don't put regular engine oil in with the gas (like 10W30). Some people confuse this with premixing. Always use 2-stroke oil, tcw3, or that wonderful synthetic stuff Idemitsu makes. Synthetic is supposed to mix better than regular 2-stroke oil, and isn't supposed to seperate. (I believe tcw3 is synthetic, correct me if I'm wrong.)
Edit: According to the S4 Factory Service Manual, the S4 has a 16.6 gallon tank.

you only premix if your omp is faulty or your omp lines like mine broke. i doubt it increases MPG, im just doing it because im tired of my lines breaking. okay if i do empty out my tank, can someone show me where the needle on the gauge should be? a picture of a working fuel gauge would be nice! thanks

it doesn't have to be TCW3 rated but that is the standard for conventional 2 stroke oils, synthetics such as those found at motorcycle/dirtbike shops is fine also, or if you want to get fancy.. get some racing castor 2 cycle oil, gawd i love the smell of castor oil with racing fuel!
