www.mrccfl.com its Mazda Rotary Car Club of FL
It USED to be named RX-7 Club of FL bu the name was changed due to the fact that rx-7's are not the only Mazda Rotary cars

We (and I say "We" because I still hope to get Sat off) are going to Gainsville Saturday there will be like 20 of us or so.

MRCCFL has a email on yahoogroups go to the site for more info about hte club or you can email me at melaza52@hotmail.com

BTW Winter Springs is in Seminole Co. (Central FL)

Well since its a State wide club, there isnt a big gathering. Each region has its own little places that all kinds of cars get together.

As a club how ever, we try to invade Events.

Rolex 24 was a great turn out we shred a coral with the Viper and Miata club which was one of the best places right next to the pits.

Sebring was also another event.

Too bad my job keept me from goign to either.

There are also Road rallies and such in diff areas. And a couple of BBQ get to gethers.

Some people also go to the Chin motorsports events for track days.

Whatever comes up we try.
Board Members are working behind the scenes to get sponsorships and discounts. There is also a Project car in the works.

Go to the link and check it out. www.mrccfl.com
Or go to groups.yahoo.com and look for mrccfl for the email list.

ok first sorry the apex cat doesn't raise boost it's controled realy well especialy on the 2nd gens, besides he can only go past 14 lbs on the stock bov. and even if he could turn up the boost that is the limit it will take woth out blowing up the bov. and you CAN put a 14b on a second gen i know some one who has done it, the manifolds are interchangable. and last but not least you will blow him away, like all the smart people said it's the 1st gens especialy the awd models that you realy need to worry about.

There is only one way to find out, just race the guy. If you win you win if you lose you lose. There is no shame in getting beat. Everyone here can give you their opinions on what they think will happen but ultimately you are going to have to race the guy to find out.

Oh I definitely am going to race him. I am not afraid to lose at all. If I do I will just go get some mods and then come back and spank him

Glad to hear that, I hope you didn't take my post as saying you are scared. Just keep everyone hear posted. I hate when people ask can they beat a certain car and they get encouragement for a few days and then you never hear who won the race or even if they did race. Good Luck

Homeboy is crazy for wanting to race just after putting in a new engine. Oh well, it's his car and his money.

Let us know. It should be close...

im honestly very dissapointed in some of the ignorant statements i'm hearing in this thread . its gonna be close , i wouldnt go into this race doubting his car's ability . DSM's are quick and can be fast ! i've seen em run 12's on stock internals. they reason the 1g is better is b/c the engine is stronger (6-bolt) the (7-bolt) engine has stronger pistons but weaker rods , and is prone to crankwalk . oh yeah thanx for teaching me how to quote someone , but you were wrong about the 14b thing as someone previously pointed out , as a matter of fact you can fit 16g , 18g , and 20g turbo's as well on that stock manifold . i'd have the manifold ported ofcourse , but they are bolt ons .
