87 TII in need of help!!!

ok, here's the deal, i get a call from a buddy of mine that tells me his TII is parked at my parent's house. i ask him, so what's up. he tells me that his car is not running. he is quite new to rotaries, so he is pretty shocked and scared at the moment. he tells me he was coming up from the bay area into sacramento and foing north on Highway 70, against a 300zx. all of a sudden, he hears a sound, not sure how it went but something like a pop. then when he was going through marysville, heading to chico, the car just didn't have any power. he decided to backtrack and parked it at my parent's place, and once he did that, the car has been having trouble keeping idle. seems like there is no power. he also tells me there is strange noise coming from his engine bay. my only bet is he blew his second rotor since that's the area he described to me that made sounds. i haven't the chance to go home yet and check it out but this weekend, i will. the thing is, i don't have any knowledge/experience with turbos. any diagnoses.

Is the car shaking pretty bad? If so I'd say it's a blown rotor also. Those are the symptoms of a blown rotor (no power bad idle etc). Good luck man!

seems it was vacuum hoses..boosting too high and popped a hose...just glad it wasn't a blown rotor.
