My t2 is grinding into 2nd, sounds like my syncro is gone. Is there any tricks to get it to last the summer? ie. Fluid, clutch adjust ??? Thanks

 

Stop doing shifts at redline.&nbsp The transmission had a pretty wide spacing from 1st to 2nd gears, and all this does is damage the synchro.&nbsp If you're going to ring out 1st, either short shift into 2nd slighly under redline or pause for a split second to let the syncho do it's job.

I have been taking it easy on shifts as I have killed many trani's in my day. But this one was notchy when i bought it. So do you think it will last a while if I go easy on it? (race nicely) or should I expect to fix it soon ? Thanks
