87 S4 n/a Pulled my engine, couple of q's
I spent the last couple of weekends slowly taking the engine out of my s4.
Before I get smacked around with the fact that it took me so long, I'll just say that the most complicated thing I've done before this w/o any assistance was changing my oil, and or some stereo installation stuff. I was trying to go slow so I'd actually learn something rather than just turning the wrench. Moving right along...
I've searched for both of these, and due to my ignorence I could have missed answers. They should be simple enough.
1.) While trying to take the radiator, I broke both leads on the lower radiator sensor. Can anyone identify this thing by name/partnumber/etc ? Is it cheap from the dealer ? Any info would be great...
2.) There was a transmission leak on this thing before I got it.
There are no discernable spots of "abuse" on the transmission.
The leak seems to be more towards the front (the rear of the tranny being dry)
Could this be the front oil seal ? If it is, would it be impossible to simply change it with the transmission still in the car ? or would I have to take it out.
Thanks in advance for the help...

1) if you don't need the cold start system then the sensor doesn't do much aside from that. your mazda dealer should be able to get you a part number for it.
2) transmission needs to be out of the car to replace the input seal.
