87 GXL wont start is it too cold?
I drive my 87 N/A every day since i got it at the beginning of the summer.
Didnt run when i got her, shes been great since I relplaced the starter, fluids, fluel filter fixed some grounds ect...
Yesterday I had my mechanic change the oil (I think he put 10w30) and coolant as winter is approaching and I plan to drive it through the winter and buy a turbo this spring.
Drove it home from the garage, no problem.
Today i get into the car and it just spins. The motor wont start.
when i floor the gas pedal it starts to crank faster as if about to start but wont at all.
I figured maybe im just really low on gas (money aint so great these days)
So i get a jerry can fill it with 10 L of gas come back put it in the car and try again. Still nothing
Tried boosting it from a friends truck still nothing just whiiiiirrring no start.
Tried the de-flooding procedure as well with no luck.
Now its about -4 C / 24 F here. Is it just that the car wont start in the cold?
Is there something you guys can think of. my mechanic said hed do regular maintenance things but wont touch the motor and we dont have any rotary garages around here.
Regretably this is how i get to work and school and Ive got all of tomorrow to get it goin or im going to have to rent a car with money i dont really have..
What do you guys think i should take a look at?
ps. sorry its an AT i cant push start it, ive been kicking myself in the *** for driving an AT Rx however it cost 250 and I dont make much coinage while in school and supporting the woman and myself
cheers

Try putting some oil (very little) into the leading plug holes and using some starting fluid.
I have heard from a couple of people that they will start easier in winter if using premix (aka TCW3 2 stroke oil added to the gas around 1oz per gallon)
This is of course assuming that there is nothing actually wrong such as a bad fuel pump, ign problem etc...

UPDATE: Tried your suggestions the damn thing still wont start, had it hooked up to an external power source and spent all day with it. Im now waiting for a tow truck, undecided as to what im going to do. I doubt I can get more than 1k for it because she aint running. But the milage is so low and paint is good, maybe I can pull in enough to pick up a 5 spd turbo, doubt it though....time will tell
