header bolt size

header bolt size

I gots anb 86 13 b I have one header bolt missing, can anyone tell me what size it is 15 or 16 mm and thread pitch.?

do you mean exhaust manifold/header studs on the engine itself? M10x1.25 typically, at least on a turbo car. I can't remember what size it was on my nonturbo.

Connecting the header to the engine?
That should be 10mm x 1.50 *NUT*.
I dunno why people keep thinking it's 10mm x 1.25. :P

ya the header to engine, I bought a 12mm with a thread pitch of 1.75 and it was to small. my exhuast guy he tried 14 mm but still too small. is it in the chilton or hanes manual?

Just take one off and use the thread pitch gauge they have at advance auto, auto zone, pep boys?

10mm x 1.50 is the THREAD PITCH.
Stock nut is 14mm HEX.

well read the thread to lat lol.... I bought the 10mm (14 mm nut) with 1.25 thread pitch and it is 3 turns then tight as hell so Im going to exchange it for the 1.5 thanks REted, I read this after I got home lol.... cuase I went to the Faq page, and it says the one I got with 1.25 not 1.5 thread pitch so its wrong.... thats why I hate doing searches and becuase its always filled with bs nothing to the point.
