87 Fc relocation AFM ok?

I have an 87 Mazda Rx7 Gxl I'd like to relocate the AFM closer to the Throttle body

No, I did exactly the same thing, cut the tube right after the two bungs, plugged in the AFM.

It will not have any significant effect. The DEI tuning is pretty much between the plenum and the runners, so as long as you don't mess with this then you will be OK.

Try to keep the AFM as straight as possible and as level as possible.

Idk if the s4 n s5 AFM make different performance just wanna make sure its possible for both and I want clearance that's y I wanna move it. Also thanks for the tip on leveling it wasn't sure if that was important.

Mazda's SAE papers show a small increase in VE with a shorter intake, so it'll help to move it closer, just not very much.

and the S4 AFM likes to stay level
